Not only is joining the PTA a show of support for your school to have a successful year of activities for your student, it is opening the door for our school to be recognized and rewarded by having high PTA membership. Several local and national businesses have agreed to support our efforts making programs and activities for all of our students "Skies Limit" experiences, by donating supplies and services to PTA's across the country who show high membership support within their school. We hope you will consider joining.

By joining receive with your membership card, discounts and coupons to several businesses that support the Sanderlin Community.  Just show your PTA membership card and receive valuable discounts. To name a few: Pizza discounts, Restaurant discounts and coupons, Local Attraction Discounts, Golf course discounts, and much more!

Who can join the PTA?  Any adult who wants to support the children of James B. Sanderlin Elementary can join the PTA.   The purpose of the James B. Sanderlin Elementary PTA is to support children.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, etc. may become members.  (Do not include your child for membership.)  We welcome multiple memberships per child.    

What does it cost to join the PTA?  PTA membership for the entire school year costs $5.  The local portion ($2) of the dues pays for the James B. Sanderlin Elementary PTAıs required insurance and directly funds our programs such as hosting the monthly birthday table for the children, recognizing students for their achievements, and hosting staff appreciation events.  The remainder of the membership dues ($3) supports the State and National PTA in their work on behalf of children.

Do members have to attend meetings or volunteer?  While all members are invited and encouraged to attend general meetings and volunteer, we know that not every member will be able to do so.  Members may choose their own level of involvement.  Even if you cannot attend meetings or volunteer, just joining the PTA is an excellent way to show your support for James B. Sanderlin Elementary.  Each member has a vote in PTA membership decisions, such as approving the budget and electing officers.
